A bride was shot dead and three others were injured when a gang of hooded gunmen allegedly opened fire at her wedding, according to reports. The joyous occasion turned into a nightmare when four gunmen ambushed the bride and groom as they were leaving around 4.30am on Sunday, June 22, eyewitnesses claimed. Police rushed to the scene at the Vaucluse venue, in Goult, in the south of France.
Three other individuals, including a 13-year-old boy, the groom, and a woman, were injured, according to reports in France.
Reports suggest that the bride and groom were exiting their car when they were allegedly ambushed by the attackers, who are said to have arrived in a Golf cart.
One of the attackers was reportedly hit by the couple’s car and killed as they desperately tried to escape, reports claim.
French authorities are investigating the shooting and are searching for the three men who fled the scene.
